在流浪兒童之間有一句順口溜：「外流外流，吃穿不愁；一趟外流，樣樣會有；三年外流，回家蓋樓。」事實又是否如此？
"There are reportedly 150,000 vagabond children in China. Theirs is an existence reliant on trains. From their destitute village home like Hubei, Hunan and Jiangxi, they hitchhike to cities near and far and make their living at train stations, scavenging, polishing shoes, selling flowers and tidbits. They have not run away from home. Most if not all of them roam the country with the blessings of their parents. The issue of vagabond children in China is therefore much more than a juvenile problem. "
