香港特別行政區政府商務及經濟發展局和香港駐多倫多經濟貿易辦事處在2008年3月15日會為加拿大的大學生及香港留學生舉行就業講座視像會議，以鼓勵他們畢業後回港發展。來自不同界別的講者會介紹回港發展的就業前景及各行業的最新情況。 今年的就業講座視像會議將會在3月15日香港時間8時30分至10時30分舉行(即多倫多及蒙特利爾3月14日晚上8時30分至10時30分；或溫哥華3月14日下午5時30分至7時30分)。由於過去數年就業講座學生反應熱烈，今年的講座場地會橫跨加拿大三省，包括在安大略省的多倫多大學，魁北克省蒙特利爾的Sofitel酒店，和在卑詩省的西門菲莎大學。預計參與學生人數達五百人。 今年的講座亦會由香港電台網上廣播站安排網上視像直播，讓全球學生有機會觀看整個過程。
The Commerce and Economic Development Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Toronto will organize a career video conference on 15 March 2008 for university students in Canada, particularly those with Hong Kong connections, with the aim of encouraging them to return to Hong Kong for career development after graduation. Speakers from different employment sectors will introduce career prospects in Hong Kong and the latest developments in different fields. This year, the Hong Kong Canada Career Video Conference will be held on March 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. (Hong Kong time), which is 8:30 – 10:30 p.m. on March 14 in Toronto and Montreal; or 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. on March 14 in Vancouver. In view of the overwhelming demand for more conference spaces over the past few years, this year's conference will be held in three venues spanning across 3 provinces – the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Sofitel Montreal Hotel in Montreal, Quebec, and the Simon Fraser University in British Columbia. The total number of audience is expected to reach around 500. Students from all over the world may also view the conference online from the live video webcast on RTHK ON INTERNET.
