目 前 ， 香 港 平 均 每 日 有 八 千 七 百 噸 �m 市 固 體 廢 物 傾 倒 入 堆 填 區 ， 估 計 當 中 易 腐 爛 廢 物 佔 百 份 之 二 十 六 ， 而 這 些 易 腐 爛 廢 物 主 要 成 份 是 食 物 渣 滓 ， 即 香 港 人 每 日 去 掉 近 二 千 噸 食 物 渣 滓 。

其 中 棄 掉 大 量 食 物 渣 滓 的 來 源 之 一 - 航 空 公 司 ， 打 算 帶 頭 回 收 這 些 廢 物 再 造 成 動 物 飼 料 ， 但 是 困 難 重 重 … …

While people in many parts of the world are on the verge of starvation, Hong Kong quite unashamedly throws away at least 2,000 tons of leftovers every day. Now Cathay Pacific, whose air transport business is responsible for some of the worst food wastage, is trying to play the lead in an exercise to collect leftovers throughout Hong Kong and turn them into animal feed.
