audio Tony Flores reports
A former director general of civil aviation, Albert Lam, has been given a suspended prison sentence after being found guilty of insider dealing. Deputy magistrate John Glass rejected Mr Lam's arguments that he'd been affected by alcohol when he bought 4,000 shares in the aircraft maintenance firm, HAECO, in June last year, while he was a non-executive director of the company.

Mr Lam was sentenced to five months in jail, suspended for two years. He was also fined HK$50,000, and ordered to pay HK$107,000 towards the cost of the investigation by the Securities and Futures Commission.
