World Bank tackles destruction of nature

The World Bank has launched a programme aimed at getting the cost of destroying nature factored into a country's national accounts. The Bank's president, Robert Zoellick, said environmental destruction happened partly because governments did not account for the value of nature. He was speaking in Japan, at the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity.
