Serbia's foreign minister, Vuk Jeremic, has asked the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, to broker new talks on Kosovo. Meeting Mr Ban in New York, Mr Jeremic called for a solution that would not set a precedent for other secessionist movements. Kosovo's foreign minister, Skender Hyseni, has also been at the UN lobbying members to recognise Kosovo's independence now that it has won legal backing from the International Court of Justice.
