State media said the three-day operation ended early Thursday when a China Southern Airlines jet with 148 evacuees landed in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang region.

The flight was the ninth since China began the evacuation amid ethnic clashes that erupted last week between ethnic Kyrgyz and Uzbeks, which have killed at least 190 people.
