Archibald Chan - the husband
of former chief secretary
Anson Chan - has died. He was
76. Mr Chan suddenly fell ill
at home this morning and was
rushed to Queen Mary Hospital. He was certified dead in
the afternoon in presence of his family. Mrs Chan
expressed great sorrow at her
husband's death. Mr Chan was admitted to the
intensive care unit last
September, after having an
operation on his intestine.
