The Asia-Pacific region has
overtaken North America as the
world's largest air travel
market. The International Air
Transport Association said 647
million passengers flew in the
region last year, compared
with 638 million in North
America. Within Asia, China
has eclipsed Japan over the
past decade as the largest
domestic market. And IATA says
the Asia-Pacific market will
continue to grow rapidly.
