| A lift contractor and a lift engineer have pleaded not guilty in Shatin Court to allegedly failing to carry out maintenance and examination of a lift in a Ma On Shan public housing estate early this year. One of four cables of the lift broke at the time but no-one was injured. The contractor has been named as Otis Elevator Company Hong Kong Limited. A pre-hearing for the case has been scheduled for the 27th of October. Eight witnesses and two experts will be called in the case. | ||||||
