| The House Committee in U.S. President-elect Barack Obama's home state of Illinois has recommended that the State Governor, Rod Blagojevich, be impeached for abuse of power. Mr Blagojevich has been accused of trying to make a profit by selling the Senate seat vacated by Mr Obama. The decision means a full Illinois House Committee may take action today to make Rod Blagojevich the first Governor to be impeached in the history of Illinois politics. | ||||||
