Andrew Cheng says the
government should consider
forfeiting some of its
dividends from the MTRC, in
return for the corporation
re-instating previous
passenger concessions. Mr
Cheng, who's the deputy
chairman of Legco's transport
panel, accused the MTRC of
being mean by scrapping
several concessions, including
Sunday travel for the elderly.
He said the government, as the
MTRC's majority shareholder,
should keep up pressure on the
corporation by using its
dividends as a bargaining chip
