Somali pirates are still holding a Hong Kong-registered cargo ship and its crew captive in the Gulf of Aden. The ship, Delight, was hijacked about a month ago with 20 seamen on board, none of whom were from Hong Kong or the mainland. All the seamen were believed to be safe. The General Secretary of the Hong Kong Merchant Navy Officers' Guild, Captain Chung Tung-tong, says he believes the crew will be freed if the shipowner pays a ransom.
