ATV confirms Ricky Wong's resignation

Asia Television has confirmed the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Ricky Wong, who was appointed to the post just two weeks ago. However, Mr Wong will stay with the company as a consultant. Following days of confusion over whether ATV's new CEO has in fact left the company, both the firm and Ricky Wong have issued statements following a board meeting this afternoon, confirming his resignation. However, ATV said he'll remain as a consultant to the broadcaster. For his part, Ricky Wong said he was stepping down due to differences in management style between himself, and ATV Chairman Linus Cheung. In a statement, he said while both were passionate about reforming the company, and both had similar goals in mind, the way they set about doing it was very different.
