been holding their qualifying
matches for the 2010 World
Cup. In South America,
Paraguay defeated Colombia
1-0, Argentina beat Uruguay
2-1 and Bolivia ran out
comfortable 3-0 winners over
Peru. In North America, both
the US and Costa Rica secured
berths to the Cup -- the US
beating Cuba 6-1 and Costa
Rica thrashing Surinam 4-1. In
other matches, Jamaica had a
surprising 1-0 win over the
previously unbeaten Mexicans,
Honduras beat Canada 3-1 while
Haiti and El Salvador played a
goal-less draw, as did
Guatemala against Trinidad and
