Burma to allow 9 UN helicopters to deliver aid

The United Nations Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, says Burma has given the UN World Food Programme permission to use nine helicopters to get aid to cyclone victims in remote areas. Speaking ahead of a visit to Burma, Mr Ban welcomed recent signs of flexibility by the Burmese government over the aid operation, but he said relief supplies had still only reached a quarter of the people who needed them.
