A five-member expert team from
the Government Flying Service
has been sent to Sichuan to
help rescue and relief work
there. It's the first time the
GFS has dispatched officers to
do such work outside Hong
Kong. The team, inluding two
pilots, two aircrewmen and an
aircraft engineer, left this
morning after the mainland
sought help from the
territory. The Chief
Operations Officer at the GFS,
West Wu, said they were
unlikely to take to the skies
as their main role would be to
provide technical support.
