Pioneering winemaker Mondavi dies

One of the most influential winemakers in the United States, Robert Mondavi has died in California at the age of 94. When Mr Mondavi opened his winery in the 1960s, most Californian wine was considered to be below or average quality. But his pioneering production techniques helped turn the Napa Valley region into one of the world's preimum wine-making locations.
