The Democratic presidential contender, Barak Obama, has reacted angrily after President George W Bush appeared to attack his Middle East policy during a speech in the Israeli parliament. Mr Bush said people willing to negotiate with terrorists and radicals were as deluded as Nazi appeasers in the run up to the Second World War. Mr Obama - the Democratic Party frontrunner - has advocated talking to the leaders of Syria and Iran. "It is sad that President Bush would use a speech to the Knesset on the 60th anniversary of Israel's independence to launch a false political attack. George Bush knows that I have never supported engagement with terrorists," he said in a statement.
