Quake could stoke mainland inflation

Several investment banks say they don't expect the earthquake in Sichuan to harm the country's economic growth. But they expressed concern that it might prompt higher inflation, as much of the country's farmland is in Sichuan province. Many economists had originally expected tight food supplies to ease in the second half of the year, and this would lower inflation.
