Xinhua reports 900 students buried in Quake rubble

Nearly 900-students in Sichuan
province have been buried
alive in a powerful earthquake
that struck southwestern China
this afternoon. The flash was
carried a few minutes ago by
Xinhua, but no details were
given. Earlier, Xinhua
reported that four children
were killed and at least 110
injured when the quake toppled
two primary schools in the
Chongqing region. Another
person was killed when a water
tower collapsed in
neighbouring Sichuan province,
where the 7.8-magnitude quake
was centred. Still more were
feared dead after "rows of
houses" collapsed in
Dujiangyan city near the
epicentre.
