Troops cleared of any wrongdoing in Afghan clash

The Australian military has cleared its troops of any wrong-doing in a gun battle in Afghanistan last November which resulted in the death of two women and a baby. The civilians were killed in southern Uruzgan province during an operation in which an Australian soldier also lost his life. The Australian Defence Force found no evidence that its troops had breached their rules of engagement.
