President George W. Bush has
acknowledged that the latest
United States jobs data show
the economy is not as robust
as the government would like
it to be. Official figures
show the number of people
without jobs rose by 20,000 last month - the
fourth consecutive monthly
rise. But Mr Bush said he was
confident that the country
would come through the current
difficulties, as it had
before, boosted by a recent
package of tax rebates.
