Arab foreign ministers appeal for end to Gaza fighting

Arab foreign ministers have condemned as criminal the factional fighting in the Gaza Strip, which has left the Islamist movement, Hamas in control. The clashes between Hamas and its rival Fatah, left more than 100 people dead. The ministers, meeting in Cairo, urged all parties to respect the authority of the Palestinian president and Fatah leader, Mahmoud Abbas, who retains control in the West Bank.
