US stocks extend rally to a third day

US stocks extended their rally to a third day as the monthly inflation picture revealed prices largely in check. The consumer price index reading calmed investors fears that potential interest rate hikes could be in the cards. The Dow Jones Average closed up 85 points, at 13,639. Other market indices were also higher.
