Junior Reporter (Part-time) (Chinese News and Current Affairs Section, Radio Division)
(Salary: $300 per day)

Entry Requirements: (a) Students pursing a Degree / Higher Diploma / accredited Associate Degree, majoring in Journalism, Communication, Language, Social Science or Media Studies, from a Hong Kong tertiary institution, or equivalent; (b) Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the HKCEE, or equivalent [Note (1)]; (c) Fluency in Putonghua; (d) Good broadcasting voice; (e) Proficiency in Chinese word-processing; and (f) Sound knowledge of current affairs.

(Note :(1) “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth. (2) Required to work shifts / irregular hours including midnight; (3) Candidates may be required to sit for a trade test.)

Duties: To report local and breaking news, take video and photos for the web, translate, read and rewrite wired news; produce news reports and news-related specials.

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for not more than one year. Working time per week will be less than 18 hours. Rest day, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
