Entry
Requirements: Candidates should have (a)(i) a Diploma in Communication or Journalism from a registered post-secondary college issued after the date of its registration, or equivalent; or (ii) a Hong Kong degree, or equivalent; (b) Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination, or equivalent [See note (1)]; (c) experience relating to news reporting, script writing or interview conducting will be a definite advantage; (d) good understanding of current affairs issues.
(Note : (1) “Grade E” in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in previous HKCEE are accepted administratively as comparable to “Level 2” in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE. (2) Candidates may be required to submit their previous productions to demonstrate their production skills and /or sit for a trade test.)
Duties: Being responsible for conducting research, reporting news, writing script and liaising with outside parties for Public Affairs programme production; planning and designing programme contents; working out production and post-production details; performing filming or video editing and other production related duties when required. (Note : Required to work irregular hours/over-night shifts.)
Terms
of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidate will be appointed on one-year non-civil service contract terms. If the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct, the officer may be granted a gratuity which, when added together with the Government’s contribution to MPF scheme, equals 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period. Rest day, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.

Soundman (Production Services Division)
(Salary: $13,215 per month)
Entry
Requirements: (a)(i) a Diploma in Technical Arts of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, or equivalent; and 1 year’s experience in TV news coverage or on-location TV production with ENG/EPF camera operation or sound recording; or (ii) at least 5 years’ relevant experience; and (b) a thorough knowledge of operating ENG/EFP cameras as well as associated sound and lighting equipment, which includes checking/alignment of ENG/EFP cameras and operation of video recorder and/or setting up of lights.
(Remarks: (i) Candidates may be required to sit for a trade test and physical test; (ii) Required to work irregular hours; and (iii) This post is open to both male and female candidates.)
Duties: Working as a Soundman of a crew and/or related duties as assigned by the Head of Section.

Operation Support Officer
(Salary: $14,990 per month)
Entry
Requirements: Candidates should have Hong Kong degree or equivalent with at least 1 year’s relevant experience relating to production operations or general office administrative support; (b) Level 2 in Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), or equivalent [See the note]; (c) previous working experience in media industries will be an advantage; and (d) sound knowledge of computer operations in MS Word, Chinese Word Processing, Excel and Powerpoint.

Junior Reporter (Part-time) (Chinese News and Current Affairs Section, Radio Division)
(Salary: $300 per day)
Entry
Requirements: (a) Undergraduate student in a local post-secondary institution; (b) Possess basic knowledge in radio news reporting; (c) Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and (d) Able to film news footage.
(Note: (1) Required to work shifts / irregular hours including midnight; (2) Candidates may be required to sit for a trade test.)
Duties: To perform various editorial duties include reporting, internet publishing and filming.
Terms
of Appointment & Fringe Benefits: Successful candidate will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for not more than one year. Working time per week will be less than 18 hours. Rest day, general holidays, annual leave, maternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted in line with the provisions in the Employment Ordinance.
