Five-man singing group, vocaldente (Germany) Twelve-man singing group, the Harvard Din & Tonics (USA) This summer, Radio Television Hong Kong Radio 4 invites you to surf the "a cappella" wave! With Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG) as the presenter, and RTHK Radio 4 as the co-presenter, the "A Cappella In Town" Concert took place from 18th to 20th July. Raymond Chung and Carmen Leung, the co-hosts in Radio 4's "R4 Buddies" programme, were the MCs in the final outdoor concert held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza. The four teams of performers include Germany's vocaldente formed by five young singers, the Harvard University's signature 12-man "a cappella" singing group, the Harvard Din & Tonics, Popphone Singers from Taiwan Shih Hsin University, and the Hong Kong Melody Makers established by the HKFYG. Their passionate and dynamic performances brought climax and marked a perfect ending for the "A Cappella In Town" Concert. The concert will be aired on RTHK Radio 4 (FM97.6-98.9) on Saturday, 26th July at 8pm, with repeat on Thursday, 31st July at 2pm. In August, Radio 4's "R4 Buddies", which broadcast every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm, will extract the essence of the concert and share them with the listeners in five segments.
