In order to enjoy our radio and video programmes, you'll need to have either "Media Player" provided by Microsoft or "RealPlayer" provided by RealNetworks loaded on your computer. You can download the software free-of-charge at:

1. Media Player, from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/mediaplayer

2. RealPlayer, from Real Networks: http://www.real.com

Q 2.
When I listen to the radio live broadcasting, why does the RealPlayer come with a warning "Server Alert: The Server has reached its capacity for the requested URL" ?

In order to ensure the traffic will not overload our Internet link, we have limited the number of concurrent connection to our live channels at this moment. You can try to listen to that channel again later or select another channel.

Q 3.
How do I read Chinese on the RTHK homepage?

The Chinese pages from RTHK ON INTERNET are constructed by Chinese Big5 Code. We recommend that you should use Chinese Windows to surf our Chinese pages. If you are using English Windows, you need a Chinese add-on to enable your system to display the Chinese input. There are several add-on Chinese systems, for example: UnionWay,TwinBridge, NanJi Star, AsiaSurf and RichWin For Internet. Or you can install the Chinese fonts from Internet Explorer Multilanguage Support. The address is: http://www.microsoft.com/ie/download

Q 4.
After I installed the add-on Chinese system, why I still can't see Chinese?

Some add-on Chinese system can only run on 16-bit applications under your English MS-Windows (3.1x, WFWG3.11, Win95 or WinNT3.5x). You may try to download the specific version or another add-on Chinese system from the above lists.
