6. New Media Service

RTHK ON INTERNET (www.rthk.org.hk) provides live webcast of RTHK's radio and television programmes. A twelve-months on-demand archive of television and radio programmes service is also available online. In addition, original multimedia web contents are produced for public access, including Instant news, Podcast Station, weekly live video webcast of LEGCO meetings, and various distinctive web channels, such as e-Learning, Culture Web, Classics Channel, Chinese Culture Channel and Teen Power etc. Net-users can also customize RTHK ON INTERNET streaming contents through the new “myrthk” feature.

In 2007-08, New Media Service will:

• provide more audio and video programmes on Podcast Corner for portable download;
• continue to enrich the multimedia web contents with original audio-video products for internet;
• continue to enhance quality of streaming media; and
• expand the delivery of RTHK ON INTERNET multimedia contents to other mobile and new media platforms..

The new media performance targets in 2007-08 are as follows:
