The seven channels under radio services broadcast various types of programmes in Cantonese, Putonghua and English.
In 2007-08, the Division will:
Produce special programmes for the celebrations of the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR in July 2007, the District Councils election in November 2007, 80th anniversary of Broadcasting and publicity programmes for the Equestrian events of the 2008 Olympic Games.
fully utilize the spectrum by reducing rejoin broadcasts and introduce more programmes on sports, and programmes for young people and the middle-aged.
Putonghua channel shall be strengthened in view of the demand for Putonghua education and become a prominent Putonghua broadcaster among global Chinese communities.
Radio 5 will further promote the theme of active life-long learning for seniors through its elderly community projects. The channel will also encourage Cantonese opera enthusiasts' performance through community activities and provide a platform to showcase their talent.
Radio news will enhance its reporting services with additional multimedia elements and upgrade its internet capabilities.
