Five-day Week in Radio Television Hong Kong

1. With the implementation of five-day week in Radio Television Hong Kong starting from 1 July 2006, the following essential services provided to members of the public will remain unchanged:

　　(a) round-the-clock radio programmes on 7 channels;
　　(b) regular news reports on radio channels;
　　(c) television programmes in designated time slots on free-to-air television channels; and
　　(d) round-the-clock internet services.

2. New opening hours for RTHK's reception counters in Broadcasting House, Television House and Educational Television Centre with effect from 1 July 2006:

　　8:45 am - 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday
　　(reception counters in Television House and Educational Television Centre are closed during lunchtime from 1 pm- 2 pm.)

3. The department's general telephone enquiry service, vide Tel No. 2339 6300, will continue to be manned from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm from Monday to Sunday but 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on public holidays. If members of the public have any enquiries about RTHK outside the above service hours, they may:

　　(a) leave a message to the automatic telephone answering machine for 2339 6300,
　　(b) call RTHK Service Hotline: 2272 0000 (Interactive Voice Recording System), or
